World Otter Day is held on the last Wednesday in May each year, and 2026 marks its 10th anniversary!

From the start, it's been a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of our otters and promote and support their conservation across the world.

We're keeping up our tradition of hosting annual events this year, only this time - as its our first year officially as Lutra Grampia and World Otter Day's 10th birthday - we've planned a full week of activities across East Scotland! We've spread them across various areas to give as many of you an opportunity to join in as possible, and there'll be a special online auction as well. As to what the secret item is... you'll have to wait and see! The auction will go live on the morning of 25 May, and we'll release full details in advance.
